S2D13513

XGA External SDRAM Automotive Controller

The S2D13513 is a highly integrated display controller capable of supporting up to XGA TFT LCD panels. With the flexibility of an external SDRAM memory interface, this low cost, low power device supports a wide range of CPUs, panels, and a camera port that can be configured as 2x 8-bit ports. The S2D13513 feature set and architecture are designed to meet the requirements of automotive markets.

The S2D13513 features both sprite and 2D BitBLT engines designed to reduce the load on the host, while increasing the performance of graphics intensive operations. Additionally, the S2D13513 offers such features as multiple windows, alpha blending, gamma correction, and mirror/rotation functions which allow user configurability of various images on the Main/PIP1/PIP2 displays. The S2D13513's impartiality to CPU type or operating system makes it an ideal display solution for a wide variety of applications.

S2D13515

XGA External SDRAM Automotive Controller

The S2D13515 is a highly integrated LCD controller targeted at the automotive market. It advances on the successes of other Epson LCD controllers by embedding a proprietary 32-bit RISC CPU and associated accelerator blocks to achieve an increase in flexibility and functionality. Routines are provided allowing for audio playback, 2D BitBLT operations, warp and filtering operations, and the ability to offer OpenGL-ES 1.1 support. In particular, the Warp Logic functions make this an ideal solution for the automotive heads-up display (HUD) market, or pseudo 3D navigation displays.

The S2D13515 is an affordable, low power device which uses a flexible external SDRAM memory interface to provide its frame buffer. It supports a wide variety of CPU interfaces and LCD panel outputs which makes it an excellent choice for instrumentation or center cluster applications.

S2D13719

QVGA LCD Automotive Controller

The S2D13719 is a LCD controller solution designed with support for digital video in automotive markets. The S2D13719 contains an integrated dual port camera interface, hardware JPEG encoder/decoder and can be interfaced to an external MPEG codec. Seamlessly connecting to both direct and indirect CPU interfaces, it provides support for up to QVGA panels. The LCD controller supports all standard TFT panel types. The S2D13719, with its 512 KB of embedded SRAM and rich feature set, provides a low cost, low power, single chip solution to meet the demands of embedded markets requiring digital video.

Additionally, products requiring a rotated display can take advantage of the SwivelViewTM feature which provides hardware rotation of the display memory transparent to the software application. The S2D13719 also provides support for "Picture-in-Picture " (a variable size window with overlay functions). Higher performance is provided by the hardware acceleration engine which provides 2D BitBLT functions.

The S2D13719 provides impressive support for automotive solutions requiring digital video support. Its impartiality to CPU type or operating system makes it an ideal display solution for a wide variety of applications.
